Doctrine of Christian Practice
Covenant Christian Church believes that a Christian should live a holy life, be separated from the world, and maintain a testimony consistent with the New Testament. We believe that by the power of the Holy Spirit, we all should walk together in Christian love, strive for the advancement of the church in knowledge, holiness, and godliness, holding a conviction that Christianity is a way of life. Therefore members should be propagated through Bible-centered and Christ-centered teaching, promoting the prosperity and spirituality of this church, sustain it’s worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines. Members should contribute willingly and consistently to support the church with tithes and offerings so that the expenses are met, the poor are helped, and the gospel is spread through all nations.
This church encourages all of it’s members to maintain family and individual devotions; to seek the salvation of kindred and acquaintances, walk circumspectly in the world, be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our behavior, zealous in our effort to win souls to Christ, to avoid all backbiting, and excessive anger, and to abstain from the things which would damage reputation or hinder their maturing in Christ.
We further encourage each member to show brotherly love towards one another, to remember each other in prayer, to aid each other in sickness and distress, to cultivate Christian sympathy and courtesy in speech, to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior.
